Mead is the cat’s meow. Making mead is the bees’ knees. Making mead to celebrate your undying love of curiosity, well, that’s just as good as Valentine’s Day gets.

In this introductory Mead Making class, we will outline the steps necessary for making delicious meads and melomels. We will cover the mazers gambit, from equipment and gear to sanitization—from reading a hydrometer to knowing when one racks and bottles their finished product.

Each student (18 years or older) will make or start a one-gallon batch of mead they can then take home with them.

We will also sample several different kinds of mead towards the end of our session.
